For over twenty one years we have been supplying an extensive range of semiconductors and PCB equipment to private individuals, schools, colleges and local business in the North East of England. With the introduction of a very successful mail order catalogue in the early 1990's, we are able to supply customers in the UK, Europe and USA. This catalogue was available free by post or to download from our website. We now feel it is time to make a few small changes to the operation and presentation of the business. |

The original format of our catalogue was broken down into several sections (Capacitors, Resistors, Semiconductors and PCB equipment etc). This enabled you to download the relevant section quickly with a slow dial up internet connection. Now with the cost of high speed broadband connection becoming available and affordable to more of our customers we have decided to merge all of the 'Components' into one section, our New catalogue. This new format catalogue will be available from May 2008. It will be, as in previous copies of our catalogues free by post for customers who prefer a hard copy. Other products which were in previous copies of our catalogues or to customers who follow our regular full page adverts in the major Electronics and Hobbyist magazines are now available to view now on this website. |

After many hours of consultation with hundreds of our regular customers the format for the new look website had to maintain the format of a conventional catalogue with the following points being identified. Products grouped together in defined sections. Similar products displayed on the same page. Emphasis on product description. A clear indication of unit price and any quantity discounts available. And of course the pages have to be easily printed. |

With this new format of catalogue and website it will be easier to keep customers up to date with new products or items which are no longer available. As with any company who produces a paper catalogue, the prices in the catalogue will be valid for the life of the catalogue (approximately 3 months). The Website, as with our sister site http://www.theelectronicsshop.co.uk is updated at the end of every working day. |
